Sextortion is defined as threats to expose explicit images if a victim does not comply with demands. These demands can include sending more compromising photos, maintaining contact or sending money. Both online strangers and former romantic partners can sextort victims to harass, embarrass, and control them.
CACWA works with CACs and multidisciplinary partners (MDTs) to facilitate a coordinated response to allegations of child abuse and supports professionals in the field through training, technical assistance, research, funding, and advocacy.
