Child Abuse Prevention Month

"Building A Hopeful Future Together"

Washington Children’s Advocacy Centers (CACs) served 6,674 children in 2024. Each visit to a CAC brings young victims of abuse one step closer to the hope, healing, and justice they need and deserve.

Child abuse is preventable, and it begins with each of us. We can all do something to make our communities a better, safer place for children. Here are some ways you can help raise awareness during National Child Abuse Prevention Month:

  • Wear Blue Day- April 4th: Take a picture and post to social media wearing something blue to show your commitment to protecting kids.
  • Plant a Pinwheel Garden: Raise awareness throughout the month by planting a pinwheel garden at your home or business. Check out our Virtual Pinwheel Garden and consider donating in honor of a child in your life or someone that helped make your childhood great.
  • Share on Social Media: Click an image below to download and share these social media posts to help spread awareness. Follow CACWA on Facebook and Instagram for more content!
  • Be a source of support for others: Parenting can be challenging. If you know a neighbor, co-worker, friend, or relative who is struggling, reach out! Offer to babysit, tutor, prepare a meal, or just listen and be supportive to help ease the burden.
