Internet Safety Training for CAC & MDT Professionals

This training is designed to educate adults on the following:
- Statistics and prevalence of online offenses against children and youth.
- How offenders gain and maintain access to kids online.
- Recognizing warning signs that an offender is targeting a child.
- How to best respond to concerns of internet risk and promote safe usage.
- Correct terminology and increased confidence to have conversations with youth about internet safety.
By the end of this training, participants will:
- Be informed about the prevalence of online offenses against children and youth.
- Understand how offenders gain and maintain access to children & youth online.
- Recognize warning signs that a child or youth is being targeted online by a predator.
- Know how to best respond to concerns of online offenses against children and youth.
- Feel more confident talking with children and youth about online safety.
